League of Arab States Exchange

The National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations, in conjunction with the League of Arab States, coordinated the first-ever student exchange study visit to Arab League Headquarters in Cairo in July 2003. Based on the success of that study visit the National Council and the League of Arab States have coordinated several successful returns, offering students the opportunity to visit one of the most vibrant cities in the Arab world.
While in Cairo through the League of Arab States Exchange study visit, participants meet with Arab League officials and ambassadors, as well as officials at the U.S. embassy (e.g. public affairs, press, or information attaches). If in session, the group may have the opportunity to observe specialized committees of the League. Participants also meet with prominent Egyptian intellectuals, visit Egypt's ancient attractions, and visit with fellow international students at the American University in Cairo. Before, during, and after the study visit, students complete a variety of written assignments to enrich their cross-cultural experience.
When the dates of the next League of Arab States Exchange study visit are available they will be posted in this space. You can contact the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations if you have any questions.
